Position Title: Injury Evaluation Care Clinic Coordinator/Athletic Trainer

Department:  Health/Human Perfmnce, Schl of

Term of Assignment: Three-year term

Term End Date, If Applicable:  June 30, 2028       

FLSA Status:   Exempt = not eligible for overtime

Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evening and weekend work required.

Salary: Targeted Salary Range: $48,880-$55,000

Travel: No travel

 

Brief Statement of Duties

Brief Statement of Duties: Oversee all aspects of the Injury Evaluation Care Clinic including patient care, clinic coordination and marketing, and student supervision and precepting.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Master's Degree

Discipline/Degree Area:  Athletic Training or related field

Required Specialized Training/Certifications:  BOC/Certified Athletic Trainer.
Licensed to practice athletic training in the State of Michigan, or eligible.
Certified in CPR/AED.

Required Minimum Work Experience:  Five years' experience as a certified/licensed athletic trainer.
Three years' coordination/supervisory experience in the clinical/outreach athletic training setting.
Five years' experience as athletic training student preceptor.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: 

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain a professional clinical environment that is inclusive.
Ability to provide high quality athletic training services to a diverse population.
Excellent organizational and time management.
Computer literacy/experience with EMRs, rehabilitation/home exercise applications, and other general electronic platforms (Google, Microsoft, etc.).
Ability to respond appropriately in emergent and stressful situations.

 

Additional Desirable Qualifications

Additional Desirable Qualifications: 

Ability and experience providing athletic training services to patients across the age spectrum (youth, adolescent, adult, geriatric).
Marketing/promotional experience.
