Position Title: Project Manager-Engineering & Planning

Department:  Engineering & Planning

Term of Assignment: Continuing

Term End Date, If Applicable:             

FLSA Status:   Exempt = not eligible for overtime

Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional weekend and evening work required.

Salary: Targeted Salary Range: $62,480-$67,000

Travel: Less than 10%

 

Brief Statement of Duties

Brief Statement of Duties: Responsible for project administration on new construction, renovation and maintenance projects. Duties shall include providing all phases of project management including design (schematic to final), estimates, bidding, construction administration/coordination and post construction warranty issues.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Discipline/Degree Area:  Architectural Design/Technology, Construction Management or related fields

Required Specialized Training/Certifications: 

Required Minimum Work Experience:  Two years experience in preparing, reviewing and critiquing construction design documents. Experience can be a combination of at least one year of full-time work plus relevant internship.
Two years experience in construction methods, coordination and/or construction inspection.
Experience can be a combination of at least one year of full-time work plus relevant internship.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: 

Ability to learn and effectively utilize AutoCAD or Revit.
Knowledge of all phases of commercial building design and construction with an understanding of architectural, mechanical, electrical or civil construction.
Ability to deliver construction projects on time and within budget and implement creative solutions to construction problems or design errors.
Knowledge of building codes.
Computer application skills (word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet, web-based programs, project management software ie. Procore and Blue Beam).
Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively deal with a broad variety of people and prepare quality correspondence, reports and other written materials.
Excellent critical thinking skills; ability to effectively analyze situations and solve problems.
Effective interpersonal skills - able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Strong organizational skills - able to plan and coordinate projects and handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Ability to coordinate the work of others.

BIM/CAD experience.
GPS/GIS experience.
