Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Teaching assignment will be in either the BSW, MSW, or both programs and dependent on departmental needs. Term faculty must submit evaluations documenting accomplishments in the areas of assigned responsibility, which include teaching and departmental service. This is a campus-based position.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Master's Degree
Discipline / Degree Area: Social Work
Required Specialized Training/Certifications: Earned MSW from a CSWE accredited institution, or international equivalent.
Required Minimum Work Experience: For MSW's, Five years-post MSW work experience is required.
For Ph.D.'s, 2 year's post MSW work experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Knowledge of human behavior in the social environment and generalist practice methods.
Knowledge of anti-oppressive and anti-racist social work practice and frameworks.
Knowledge of social work theories and interventions.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively with others in a productive way.
Ability to manage one's own time.
Knowledge of CSWE's core competencies.
Knowledge of NASW's code of ethics.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Clinical and/or knowledge in Advanced Generalist practice.
Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students at the university level.
Practice experience working with minoritized/marginalized populations (LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, etc.). A Ph.D. in social work or related field is preferred.
