Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Under general supervision, perform various clerical and administrative duties and interact with Disability Service's student participants and campus community. Provide necessary information and explain accommodation requirements to students, faculty, staff and parents while gathering information to assist coordinators in ensuring all accommodations are met to help ensure federal regulatory compliance. Provide customer service including greeting customers, answering phones and providing assistance and direction to participants; manage administrative paperwork and support for the coordinators of Disability Services and Veterans Services representative. Responsible for the support, entry and maintenance of Disability Services data, records, and forms.

Required Education: High School Graduation or Equivalent

Required Minimum Work Experience: Five years of progressive office work experience or a Bachelor’s Degree.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Proficiency with computerized tasks to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, web-based applications, e-mail, and/or internet.
Demonstrated ability to work independently utilizing initiative and good judgment.
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to work and prioritize on several levels simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to positively and effectively deal with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Demonstrated ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive subject matter.
Ability to independently resolve emerging needs of students, faculty, and staff via walk-in, email, or phone.

Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge and/or willingness to learn University/office software including web page design and maintenance.
Knowledge and/or willingness to learn various forms of assistive technology.
Knowledge and/or willingness to plan and produce newsletters, brochures and flyers.
Knowledge and/or willingness to learn University procedures and ability/willingness to learn federal regulations that apply to individuals with disabilities
Proven ability to provide consistently effective customer service in response to a variety of student, parent, faculty, and staff concerns.
Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with University policies and procedures.
Proven effective interpersonal communication skills.
Proven effectiveness with highly-detailed office procedures.
Knowledge of learning, cognitive, physical, visual, hearing, and/or psychological disabilities.
