Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Provide administrative support to the director, faculty and employees of the Center for Native American Studies (NAS) which is host to academic programs, cultural events, a resource library, and a firesite. Assist in supporting student service needs for Native American students, community outreach to tribal governments, tribal organizations and inter-tribal entities.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: High School Graduation or Equivalent

Required Minimum Work Experience: Three years' progressive office work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, creating and managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures/terminology.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Time management skills.
Ability to support the director with financial transactions and financial reports. Diligent to details and deadlines with regard to multiple grants and recording contributions.
Ability to assess the needs of students and customers and offer solutions or answers.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to work independently.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of diverse populations specifically those addressing the needs of Tribal citizens and Tribal Nations.
College coursework leading to a degree.
Knowledge of University computer programs and systems.
Knowledge of University policies in relation to programming on campus.
