Brief Statement of Duties |
Brief Statement of Duties: |
Teach undergraduate courses in health & physical education, supervise and advise undergraduate students, participate in service activities, supervise student teachers in health & physical education, supervise internships, make and maintain community connections for practicum placements for teacher education students, and perform other assignments as per departmental needs. This is a campus based position. |

Required Minimum Work Experience: |
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in K-12 education and college/university teaching experience to be considered for appointment. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: |
Ability to use a variety of teaching techniques in individual and group settings. Ability to integrate problem solving and critical thinking into the Health & Physical Education teaching learning process. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Time management skills. |

University teaching experience in Health & Physical Education. K-12 teaching experience beyond 3 years. Expertise in Health & Physical Education. Evidence of scholarship related to Health & Physical Education. Experience in developing community partnerships. Experience and evidence of positive coaching. Expertise with various teaching technology platforms. Experience and knowledge with teacher education accreditation requirements. Ability to work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment. |
