Brief Statement of Duties |
Brief Statement of Duties: |
Provide clerical/administrative support for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. Duties across all service areas and project types include creating web content, professional meeting support (drafting agendas, preparing official minutes, etc.) and scheduling, event planning, communications, and both entering data into internal and external systems and supervising students doing data entry.
Service area-specific duties include, but are not limited to: a) coordinating survey schedules, and collecting information from various departments on campus; b) supporting the University’s various assessment systems through managing constituent submissions, tracking and posting statuses; c) professional administrative support for the University’s strategic planning efforts and campus-wide improvement activities; and d) assisting with project tasks including survey setup, distribution, and status monitoring.
Other office duties include coordination and support for travel arrangements, expense reporting, office supply and resource equipment management and purchasing, conference room calendar management, and other duties as assigned. |

Required Minimum Work Experience: |
Five years of progressive office work experience or a Bachelor's Degree. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: |
Ability to accurately and efficiently operate department software including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, and/or web-based applications. Ability to instruct, train, and supervise students. Ability to professionally represent NMU in engagements with external entities and internally with students, faculty, staff, and leadership. Ability to perform with a high degree of quality focusing on accuracy and detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to use sound judgment, multi-task, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to organize work and establish priorities. Ability to work well with others and contribute to a dynamic and team-oriented environment. Ability to exercise independent judgment in order to resolve issues. Ability to uphold confidentiality practices both within and outside the University community. |

Knowledge of University policies and procedures. Knowledge of web editing tools and ability to update domain web content. Knowledge of project management principles and tools and ability to support project management efforts. Experience with Qualtrics. Experience with data visualization. |
