Brief Statement of Duties: |
Under routine supervision, accomplish various tasks associated with the routine and preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment and other components in assigned University building(s). Support the energy management system in maintaining electronic controls for satisfactory comfort levels to building occupants. |

Required Minimum Work Experience: |
Three years of experience in commercial and/or industrial building maintenance or any combination of education, training, or experience which fulfills the requirements of the position and needs. Physical capability to perform all of the duties and responsibilities of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. Ability to pass relevant oral, written and/or performance testing. Valid motor vehicle operator's license. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: |
KNOWLEDGE: General and working knowledge of relevant HVAC system operations and facilities management systems software. General knowledge of relevant HVAC electronic and digital controls operations.
SKILLS: Equipment operation monitoring, troubleshooting, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair where applicable. Working knowledge of computer applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, email, internet, web-based programs). Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively deal with a broad variety of people and prepare quality correspondence. Excellent critical thinking skills, good judgment; able to effectively analyze situations and solve problems. Effective interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Strong organizational skills; able to plan work and handle multiple tasks and priorities. Excellent customer service skills.

Specific experience in one or more relevant technical trades. Specific experience in one or more relevant facilities management systems software. Completion of relevant training such as two year degree in HVACR, controls technology, or related field. Demonstrated effective supervisory experience. |
