Food Service Worker II-Barista Specialist: Under routine supervision, perform a variety of duties necessary for daily maintenance, operation and supervision of employees in Starbucks and Retail Stores. Provide skills and perform duties necessary to lead and engage the staff in the preparation and resale of various beverages, food and retail items, ensuring operational success through excellent customer service and maintaining store standards. Perform a variety of similar retail and catering service duties in the summer as determined by operational needs of the Dining Services Department. Barista Lead: Under routine supervision, perform and direct others in a variety of duties necessary to lead the daily maintenance, operation and supervision of employees in Starbucks and Retail Stores. Provide skills and perform duties necessary to lead, train, adhere to Starbucks standards, and engage the staff in the preparation and resale of various beverages, food and retail items, ensuring operational success through excellent customer service, consistency, and maintaining store standards. Perform and lead a variety of similar retail duties in the summer as determined by operational needs of the Dining Services Department.

Graphic Designer I: Under direction, collaborate with individuals across campus to organize and produce professional, creative and custom graphic designs for a variety of NMU clients. These include but are not limited to postcards, brochures, posters, pamphlets, social media graphics, advertisements, video assets and more. Graphic Designer II: Under direction, collaborate with individuals across campus to conceptualize, organize and produce professional, creative and custom graphic designs for a variety of NMU clients. These include but are not limited to postcards, brochures, posters, pamphlets, social media graphics, advertisements, video assets, page and publication layout, interactive media and digitally focused graphic design. Senior Graphic Designer: Collaborate with individuals across campus to conceptualize, organize and produce professional, creative and custom graphic designs for a variety of NMU clients. Art Director/Graphic Designer: Responsible to conceptualize, organize and produce professional, creative and custom graphic designs for a variety of NMU clients. Senior Graphic Designer and Art Director/Graphic Designer: Graphic designs include but are not limited to postcards, brochures, posters, pamphlets, social media graphics, advertisements, publications, micro websites and more. Proactively provide innovative ideas and creative solutions that propel Northern's business goals. Provide concept and execute photo and video direction to assist the photo/video team with dynamic visuals for social media and athletic experiences. Provide sourcing and production of promotional items like wearables, backgrounds and event giveaways. Take the lead on managing many clients and projects, therefore playing an integral part in the direction of the university's overall creative strategy. Coordinate with the Publications Director and Creative Director to prioritize, develop and implement design projects and production schedules.

Teach both undergraduate and graduate classes in the area of Public Administration such as budgeting, public policy, state and local government, American government or municipal government. Teach 12 credits per semester. Teach multiple subjects within the Public Administration and Political Science fields including the following: Environmental Management - Upper Peninsula; Research Methods of Public Administration (An examination of quantitative research methods designed for students of public administration and public policy. It introduces the scientific method, research design, data measurement and analysis); Principles of Public Administration (An introduction to theory and practice of the management of public affairs. Emphasis is placed on several themes and conceptual problems consistently appearing in the professional literature of public administration); Political and Administrative Aspects of Community Development (The political and administrative dimensions of community development. Students probe the administrative aspects of managing a planning process while considering the political realities of implementation); Public Budget Management (The major concepts, approaches, techniques and formats of public budgeting in the U.S., especially as these are applied to the local government setting. The objectives are to delineate and understand the various components and practices of budget planning, development, execution, auditing and evaluation. Additionally, the course will serve to enhance participant awareness and understanding of management issues and typical problems involved in the budgeting cycle and the methods used to address these); Experiential Applications Seminar; (This seminar serves as a capstone experience. Candidates complete a graduate research project report); and Humanity and Technology (This course investigates the positive and negative impacts of technology on society, including society’s response to new technology. Compelling ethical issues are examined, in engineering, public safety and health, athletic performance enhancement, weapons technology, privacy and surveillance, the Internet, and forensic technology).
