Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Teach courses in Human Behavior in the Social Environment. Responsibilities include a 3/3 teaching load in HBSE and other departmental offerings as needed. As a tenure-earning position, scholarship and service to the department and the university is expected. Teaching both the undergraduate and graduate social work courses is expected. This is a campus based position.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Doctorate or equivalent terminal degree
Discipline / Degree Area: Social Work or related discipline
Required Specialized Training/Certifications: MSW from CSWE accredited institution.
ABD who will complete their degree prior to the start of their employment will be considered
Required Minimum Work Experience: 2 or more years of post-MSW practice experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Knowledge of human behavior in the social environment and generalist practice methods.
Knowledge of social work theories and interventions
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively with others in a productive way.
Ability to manage one's own time and that of others.
Knowledge of CSWE's core competencies
Knowledge of NASW's code of ethics
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students at the university level
