Three-year term position, teaching three courses per semester in the School of Art & Design Graphic Design Program. Utilizing class critiques and lectures to teach visual decision-making that conveys and supports a concept. Participate in committee work and service to the school, university, and community. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: |
Digital portfolios must reflect an understanding of web design including HTML 5 and CSS 3, social media branding and management, user experience (UX), and strong typography/layout skills.
The successful candidate must be able to address contemporary issues of media and technology through coursework and critiques to teach visual decision-making that conveys and supports a concept.
Knowledge of Macintosh-based applications, including the Adobe Suite is required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, time management skills, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to undergraduate education and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
Ability to develop and deliver curriculum and assess student-learning outcomes.
Ability to work well with an instructional team, including but not limited to fellow instructors. |

Additional Desirable Qualifications: |
Production experience with app design, Javascript/jQuery, and WordPress, and is preferred.
Candidates with a record of successful professional activity and previous teaching experience will be preferred. |
