Teach undergraduate lecture and lab courses in Cosmetology or Esthetics, assess student learning, and maintain lab equipment. This is a campus based position. |

| Required Education: |
High School Graduation or Equivalent |
| Discipline / Degree Area: |
Cosmetology or Esthetics |
| Required Specialized Training/Certifications: |
A Michigan Cosmetology Instructor License or Michigan Cosmetology Instructor Limited License. |
| Required Minimum Work Experience: |
Three years of work experience in the cosmetology/salon industry. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: |
-Knowledge base in cosmetology and esthetics as it relates to the industry.
-Knowledge of different learning styles.
-Knowledge of MS Office Suite and similar software systems.
-Ability to deliver instructional materials to students.
-Ability to assess student learning.
-Ability to communicate effectively.
-Ability to work effectively and productively with others.
-Ability to work with minimal supervision. |

-Bachelor's Degree in Cosmetology or related field.
-Active participation in related professional organizations.
-Appropriate credentials or certifications through recognized cosmetology associations.
-Previous teaching experience. |
