Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Teach field-based undergraduate educational psychology courses and online graduate courses in educational psychology, measurement, assessment, research, and other courses as assigned. Develop new courses. Supervise student teachers. Advise students. Engage in professional development and scholarship. Provide service within the school, university, and the profession. This is a campus-based position.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Doctorate or equivalent terminal degree
Discipline / Degree Area: Doctorate (or dissertation near completion with degree earned before appointment) in educational psychology or related field.
Required Specialized Training/Certifications:  
Required Minimum Work Experience: Three years of K-12 teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Knowledge of effective teaching practices for both elementary and secondary classrooms. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods; knowledge of educational measurement and evaluation practices.
Knowledge of teacher evaluation systems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Ability to communicate effectively; ability to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level in face-to-face and online environments.
Ability to successfully collaborate with public schools to create and to maintain field experiences in collaboration with the field experience director.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Experience developing new courses; successful university teaching experience.
Ability to teach a math class as needed.
Experience collaborating with public schools to create and maintain field experiences.
University service.
Established research agenda.
