Position Title: Director, Partnerships and Events, Housing and Rec Facilities
Department: Finance & Admin, Vice Pres
Term of Assignment: Continuing
Term End Date, If Applicable:  
FLSA Status:  Exempt = not eligible for overtime
Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm with occasional evening and weekend work required.
Salary: Targeted salary range: $70,160-$75,400
Travel: Less than 10%
Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Develop and manage community and public/private partnerships related to NMU's housing and recreational facilities. Actively market NMU's recreational/sports facilities and implement plans to grow event opportunities for assigned operations. Work with relevant internal and external partners to ensure successful event experiences. Assist with short- and long-term operational planning for NMU facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Master's Degree

Required Specialized Training/Certifications:  
Required Minimum Work Experience: Five years of progressive experience in business development or managing revenue-generating operations.
Three years of management experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Demonstrated effectiveness with building and managing partnerships with external organizations.
Strong financial acumen.
Experience with forecasting, and successfully developing and managing budgets.
Effective marketing/sales skills.
Effective negotiating skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to create and analyze data reports to support effective decision-making.
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once.
Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
Ability to lead and manage others.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Previous experience working with public/private partnerships.
Previous experience working in a university setting.
Previous experience in event management.
