Position Title: Ast Dir-Career Services

FLSA Status:  Exempt = not eligible for overtime
Work Schedule: Traditionally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm with occasional evening and weekend work required.
Salary: Targeted salary range: $38,400-$41,400
Travel: Less than 10%
Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: As a part of Career Services staff, assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a program of support designed to facilitate the career and professional development of current students and alumni, partnering with faculty/staff and departments where appropriate, as well as enhancing employer relationships through recruitment and other initiatives. Responsible for one major area within the scope of Career Services mission (student-specific engagement, employer-specific engagement, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Discipline / Degree Area:  
Required Specialized Training/Certifications:  
Required Minimum Work Experience: Three years of experience working with undergraduate students in a college or university, in career services, academic advising, admissions, academic support programs, residence life, or other work that relates to student affairs, or other related experience (e.g. human resources).
Previous experience collaborating with university and/or surrounding community to provide programming and presentations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Knowledge and/or experience in providing support to the success of students or individuals in one-on-one and/or group advising.
Basic knowledge of employment practices.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with people of diverse populations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Master's Degree.
Knowledge and/or experience with job placement, resume development, job search strategies, and employment interviewing. Experience managing information and delivering services using computer technology, to include web-based platforms.
