Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Collect and communicate department information to the media, campus and community. Perform sports information duties and media relations for intercollegiate athletics, recreational sports and the United States Olympic Training Site. Serve as the manager for creating, designing, researching, writing and editing content for various forms of media (including print, radio, social media and web).

Required Minimum Work Experience: Work experience in sports information, athletics media relations/public relations, sports journalism or graphic design.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Working knowledge of sports.
Working knowledge of technology.
Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods which includes alternative ways to inform via written, oral, visual, social and other media types.
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
Excellent oral and written communication and comprehension skills.
Interpersonal skills.
Technology use skills.
Social perceptiveness skills-being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
Time management skills.
Ability to work irregular hours to cover events.

Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Experience in StatCrew, Photoshop and InDesign.
