Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Teach undergraduate lecture and lab courses in HVAC/R or related fields, assess student learning, maintain lab equipment. Incorporate application of laptop computers in the learning environment. This is a campus-based position.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Associate's Degree
Discipline / Degree Area: HVAC/R or related field.
Required Specialized Training/Certifications:  
Required Minimum Work Experience: Three years of hands-on field experience (installation or service) in refrigeration, heating, air conditioning or ventilation.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: -Strong knowledge base in HVAC/R as it relates to service and installation practices.
-Understanding of principles and methods for course development, teaching and instruction for groups of individuals, and assessment of outcomes.
-Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing with peers and students.
-Ability to work effectively and productively with others.
-Ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Good time management skills.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: -Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
-Boiler Installers License (from any state).
-Universal EPA Certification-Federal Clean Air Act-Section 608.
-Teaching experience in both a lecture and lab setting.

Application materials will include the faculty application, cover letter, resume and transcripts from HVAC/R program.  Successful applicants will be require to provide Boiler Installers' License (from any state) if earned, Universal EPA Certification-Federal Clean Air Act Section 608 (if earned), Any additional HVAC/R certificates earned.
