Provide administrative support to the NMU-AAUP leadership; Academic Senate Chair; the executive committees for both NMU-AAUP and Senate; and some standing committees (e.g. managing the FRC schedule, organizing/filing associated applications including sabbatical, promotion, tenure, etc). Responsible for office administration (i.e. office equipment troubleshooting, office supply inventory management, budget support, customer service, communications, document and form preparation and maintain complex filing system) and serve as first point of contact for external constituents. Other duties include support roles such as paying internal and external vendors; coordinating events; assist with election process; maintain websites (Academic Senate and NMU-AAUP); and maintaining and appropriately reporting membership lists etc.

Under routine supervision, perform and direct others in a variety of duties necessary to lead the preparation of meals and specials in a residential dining operation. Provide skills necessary to lead production areas in residential dining. Supervise the work and maintain service area in a clean, safe and orderly condition. The candidate will be housed in the Wellbeing Center and embedded with the Athletic Department to provide specialized support. The role involves delivering comprehensive counseling to NMU students with partial provision of services dedicated to student athletes. Responsibilities are those of a professional university counseling center clinician and include individual and group therapy, assessment, outreach programming and consultation using a brief therapy model. The Department of Psychological Science at Northern Michigan University is seeking a Tenure Track Assistant Professor starting in Fall 2025. The on-campus position requires teaching, engaging in creative scholarship, serving on university committees, supervising and/or monitoring graduate practicum experiences, and managing program certification activities. The successful candidate will be able to teach undergraduate and masters-level graduate courses related to clinical psychology, such as Abnormal Psychology, Psychological Assessment, Psychological Interventions, Ethics, and specialty courses in the applicant’s area of expertise.
